Business All-Star accreditation for Bluestone Ireland
A company run by Bray man Donal Murphy has become one of the first businesses in the country to achieve a new quality mark for the highest standards of service and trust.
Motor finance business Bluestone Ireland has been awarded the coveted All-Ireland Business All-Star accreditation – an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria.
The accreditation is overseen by the All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.
Bluestone has built a business from scratch since 2014, and in just three years it has exceeded €100 million in lending and has reached out to over 13,000 customers by taking a different approach to lending. ‘Bluestone Motor Finance was successfully accredited as a result of its very clear focus on its core mission, which is to provide Irish motorists and motor dealers with viable finance package in cases where traditional finance options may not be available,’ said Kieran.
‘The recession had the unfortunate consequence of wiping out consumer credit history, leaving them with limited options when it came to motor finance. Bluestone provides the solution to this challenge by working with motor dealers and consumers alike to rebuild credit history and provide the necessary funding to quite literally get people back on the road.
‘Not only do Bluestone Motor Finance provide a great product, but it is backed by a best-inclass business run to the highest standards of excellence.’
‘We believe that the Business All-Star accreditation is going to be a true quality mark for indigenous Irish businesses,’ said Donal.
‘As a business we are very concerned with setting standards, but those standards need to
be constantly measured.
‘We have been looking for something like this – an accreditation process which is tough, externally verified and allows us to constantly measure our performance.
‘The vast majority of our customers – self-employed, no financial track record, or impaired but repaying – simply could not get a car loan prior to Bluestone’s entry into the market and helping them to get ahead is something we are
very proud of.”
The All-Ireland Business Foundation will be responsible for identifying and accrediting bestin-class Irish businesses, overseeing both the awards and ongoing accreditation, promoting peer dialogue, in addition to hosting the All-Ireland Business Summit on May 1 and 2 next year.
It will also create an active community of business leaders who work together and openly share knowledge.
