NOTES

If you would like to have a notice included in the Kilcoole Notes please email jenniferwicklow2016@hotmail.com.

You know that Christmas is not far away when a great friend of the ‘Kilmacanogue Diary’ gets in touch with us. The St Fergal’s Men’s Choir will hold their annual concert on Sunday, November 25, at 7.30 p.m. which is a fundraising event for their parish, St Fergal’s in Ballywaltrim. The choir are great supporters of Kilmacanogue and we all can re call the wonderful concert they put on for us in our village for the Shane Vickers Trust.

This year the concert is a country themed singalong and they will have a selection of great country classics as well as some old favourites. If you like the music of Glen Campbell, Don Williams, Willie Nelson, The Carpenters, The Eagles and a whole host of other favourites, well then this is the place to be.

The concert will take place in St Anthony’s Room, adjoining St Fergal’s Church in Ballywaltrim and because this is a limited seating event, admission is by ticket only. Tickets are free and available from the St Fergal’s parish office or any member of St Fergal’s Men’s Choir or indeed people can contact Michael directly at 086 3647315.

As this is a fundraising event, all attendees are invited to make a donation if they so wish to St Fergal’s Parish on the night of the concert. Best of luck to Michael and his wonderful choir for yet another successful and entertaining night.

LAKERS COFFEE MORNING

Kilmacanogue GAA Club are hosting a coffee morning in aid of Bray Lakers this Friday, November 9, from 9.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the new GAA Hall.

Everyone is aware of the great work Bray Lakers do in the wider community and unfortunately earlier this month a fire destroyed their fleet of buses and badly damaged their facility. This is a great opportunity for the community to show their support for such a worthy cause.

If you’re unable to attend but would like to still make a donation, or if anyone would like to donate a prize for the raffle, please contact Jackie Fox at 086 8494655, Melanie Lee at 086 4086597 or Grainne Davis 087 8394337. They look forward to seeing you there.
