Open day at Wicklow Learning Preschool
THE Wicklow Family Learning Community Preschool in Wicklow town host an open day today, Wednesday, February 6, from 1 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.
The open day will allow for September 2019 enrolments.
Prospective parents can come and have a chat with the qualified staff and view the preschool facility. Children can also come along and have a play whilst parents explore what the service has to offer their child.
The pre-school was established as the Family Learning Programme (FLP) in 2006 as a result of consultation with local professionals and services in the area. Its aim was to provide a quality preschool service at affordable rates to enable all children in the community to attend pre-school.
Initially, the pre-school was part of an interagency initiative involving the Vocational Education Committee, Home School Liaison Coordinators from Holy Rosary NS and St Patrick’s NS, and the Wicklow Child and Family Project. The pre-school’s first home was in the grounds of the Holy Rosary NS and it is now based in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre. The preschool caters for children from the age of two and a half.
