Wicklow Mountain Rescue is an Intel charity of choice

INTEL Ireland has selected Dublin and Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team as one of their charities of choice for the year ahead.

Each year Intel Ireland select two charities fr their employees to dedicate their combined efforts towards, including providing volunteer time and raising funds through specially organised activities.

Dublin and Wicklow Mountain Rescue were selected because of the service they provide to those who find themselves in need. This may include mountain or crag accidents or lost, overdue, or missing persons. In the last number of years the team responded to over 50 callout on average per annum. This does not include the behind the scenes work of training and committee meetings.

The other selected charity is Saplings who support individuals with a diagnosis of autism and their families,

Throughout the year Intel employees will engage in and support a number of different activities and events such as the annual Intel Charity Cycle, 5km Fun Run and Bake Sale to name a few. Both of the Signature Charities will also benefit from Intel’s unique initiative, the Matching Grants Program, which motivates employees to engage in volunteerism by providing cash grants to the organisations where the employees volunteer their time.
