Big win for Carnew
GIRLS SENIOR FOOTBALL
The meeting of the two unbeaten teams Gaelcholáiste na Mara and Coláiste Bhríde in Pearse’s park was the final game in group 1 of the senior football A.
Both teams had already qualified for the semi-final but this game was to decide who topped the group and earned a home venue for the semi final.
Coláiste Bhríde seem to be improving with every game and made a great start here scoring 2-8 without reply in the first 15 minutes. Gaelcholáiste then settled and showed much attacking ability. At half time Coláiste Bhríde led by 3-9 to 1-5.
The Carnew school dominated the second half as the young Gaelcholáiste side tired and Coláiste Bhride ran out comfortable winners by 3-21 to 2-5.
Referee was Terry Canavan

TOP OIL LEINSTER SENIOR FOOTBALL A
The draw for this competition was made during the week. Wicklow Schools have entered again and will try to at least match last year’s team who went all the way to the Leinster final.
They are in the group teams section and will meet the winner of Dundalk Schools v Laois Schools on November 30.
The other group teams are Carlow Schools and Louth Schools. The team that comes through the group section will play in the quarter-final of the Bro Bosco Cup Senior A championship in January of next year.
