SOCIAL NIGHT

The hollywood centre committee are holding a social night on Saturday, October 19, to fundraise for repair work needed to the roof of the old school house building of the centre. Music by John Kelly. SUBSTANCE AWARENESS MEETING

CAD = Community Against Drugs – Meeting Wednesday, October 16, 7.30 p.m. in the Hollywood Centre. This Meeting is for Parents/Guardians/Mentors.

HOLLYWOOD BOWLS

The club bowl every Tuesday and Friday nights in the Hollywood Centre between 8.10 p.m. New Members’ are always welcome, so come along and see what it is all about, it is a great way to spend the winter nights.

Hollywood GAA Club lotto draw will be held this coming Wednesday, October 16, in the Hollywood Inn for a jackpot of €12,000. Tickets are available online at hollywoodg­aa.com and from local outlets and club members. Thanks for your continued support and good luck.

The Hollywood Walking and Trails Group meet every Tuesday evening in the lovely village of Hollywood at 7 p.m. outside Tutty’s Pub. Our regular walks include the Hollywood Forest, White Bog and the Hollywood Loop talking in part of St Kevin’s Way to Church Mt. We also have Wellness Walks for those who like a level steady pace; these walks include the Hollywood Glen, part of the Forest walk and the Hollywood Heritage Trail.

Ideal walks for beginners and those who are building their fitness levels, or for people who simply want to walk for an hour and enjoy the flora and fauna along with the companions­hip of other walkers. Weekend walks take place once a month, the date and venue is confirmed by
