MASK MAKING

A Hallowe’en mask making workshop will take place in the Community Room of Arklow Library from 11 a.m. as part of the Arklow Hallowe’en festival. Places are free but limited – reserve a spot at the library desk. This event is suitable for children aged four and over.

POISONOUS PANTRY

Come along to Russboroug­h House for some Hallowe’en fun on the hour from noon to 3 p.m. Suitable for children aged three to ten years. The cost is €7 and places can be booked by calling Russboroug­h House.

SAVE OUR PUMPKIN

County Wicklow Partnershi­p is hosting a ‘Save our Pumpkin’ event from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. at Arklow Library as part of the local Hallowe’en festival. There will be pumpkin carving, soup making and lots more. Places are limited, sign up at the Library desk.

BRAMBLES AND COOKIES

Brambles annual cookie creations and stories have become very popular with the young children at this time of year and takes place at Lady Beit’s Pantry in Russboroug­h House and Parklands. It costs €7 per child and takes place from 4 p.m.

HALLOWEEN CAMPOUT

River Valley Holiday Park in Redcross is hosting a Hallowe’en Campout from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. that is open to day trippers. Pumpkin Hunt and Night Train slots need to be booked in advance by ringing (0404)41647.

BEST HALLOWE’EN WINDOW DISPLAY

The prize-giving for the best Hallowe’en window display in Arklow town will take place in Arklow Library from 6 p.m. All are welcome. Tuesday, October 29

GHOST BUS MYSTERY TOUR

Local historian Pat Power will lead a ghost bus mystery tour from 7 p.m. as part of Arklow’s Hallowe’en festival. Places are limited and can be reserved by calling 0402 42700. This event is suitable for adults and children and the meeting point is the Abbey graveyard, Castlepark.
