HALLOWE’EN MOVIE

A childen’s Hallowe’en movie will be shown in the children’s area of the Arklow Library at 11 a.m. as part of the Arklow Hallowe’en festival. The movie will be suitable for small children,

HARRY POTTER QUIZ

Test your knowledge of the wizarding world with a Harry Potter Quiz in the children’s area of Arklow Library at noon. Sign up at the Library desk for this event, which is being run as part of the local Hallowe’en Festival.

SPOOKY GHOST TOURS

Spooky ghost tours for the little monsters in your life take place at Wicklow Gaol from 1 p.m. A mini monster meeting in the monster lounge starts things off where children can have a go at pinning the bow on Mr Bones. Teas are then formed and the smallest member will be turned into a Mummy, with the best and fastest winning a prize. Follow the parade around the courtyard and the wicked witch will be watching and waiting to pick. The Scariest Costume, The Cutest Costume and the Best Home Made Costume. Family Ticket €30, Adult €11, Child €8.

SLIME WORKSHOP

A gooey slime workshop will be held in the Bridgewate­r Shopping Centre from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a stilt walker, facepainte­rs and more.

HALLOWEEN FAMILY ADVENTURE

A Spooktacul­ar Halloween Family Adventure for guests takes place at Druids Glen Hotel. There will be lots of fun things for the children to do including learning to carve a pumpkin, a puppet show and face painting. The resort has plenty of things to keep the children occupied including a walking trail with a Fairy Forest, playground, indoor playroom, ‘Druids Den’ and with the supervised High Tea Club, means mum and dad can have some downtime if they choose.

HALLOWEEN CAMPOUT

River Valley Holiday Park in Redcross is hosting a Hallowe’en Campout from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. that is open to day trippers. Pumpkin Hunt and Night Train slots need to be booked in advance by ringing (0404)41647.

FIREWORKS AND KIDS DISCO

Germaines of Baltinglas­s will be hosting a profession­al fire-works display at the Weir from 6 p.m. A kids disco takes place afterwards at Inisfáil where admission will be €2.

SUPERNATUR­AL PARADE

The Supernatur­al Main Street Parade is a highlight of Arklow’s annual Hallowe’en festival. Open to children and adults of all ages, participan­ts are encouraged to dress up. Participan­ts should meet at the Band Hall on South Green at 6.45 p.m., with the parade starting at 7 p.m. sharp.

PARANOIA

Paranoia, the terrifying, adult-only scare house, returns at Glenart Outdoors from 7 p.m. to 9.20 p.m. Not suitable for under-13s. Tickets cost €20 and early booking is advised.

DRACULA BALLET

Northern Ballet is resurrecti­ng Bram Stoker’s classic horror story Dracula, for special live screenings in cinemas this Halloween. The production will be screened at Whale Theatre in Greystones at 7.15 p.m. Tickets are €17.50 at whaletheat­re.ie.

TALENT SHOW

‘If you’ve got it,... Haunt it’ is the theme for the Hallowe’en talent show which will take place at the main stage outside Bank of Ireland on Main Street in Arklow as the festivitie­s continue in the local Hallowe’en Festival. MC for the event is DJ Phil McCawley and the talent show takes place from 7.20 p.m. to 8.15 p.m.

HALLOWE’EN

The Courthouse Arts Centre will show the latest installmen­t in the Hallowe’en movie franchise at 8 p.m. In this 2018 creation, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) confront her longtime foe Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Hallowe’en night four decades ago. Tickets cost €6/€5 and are available from the Courthouse.

FIREWORKS

A spectacula­r fireworks display will take place at Arklow’s 19 Arches Bridge at 8.30 p.m. as the final night of the Arklow Hallowe’en festival continues.

FAMILY FANCY DRESS PARTY

MOXIE STRINGS

Moxie Strings will perform for one night only at the Asgard Theatre in Arklow. The show kicks off at 9.15 p.m. and tickets, costing €10, are available at www.gr8events.ie.
