Prepare businesses for Brexit and attend LEO training seminar

AS the clock ticks down to the UK’s scheduled departure from the European Union, Local Enterprise Office Wicklow is providing local businesses with an opportunit­y to attend a free Brexit Essentials Seminar

The seminar focusses on key steps to prepare your business for Brexit and is relevant to all business sectors irrespecti­ve of the different issues facing every sector. These issues could include, businesses in the food industry being conscious of how customs duty and border delays might impact on their product, businesses in the constructi­on industry will be very aware of the knock on impact that border delays could have on their deadlines, businesses in the textiles that may be impacted by high duty rates and IT companies may have to consider export controls.

Vibeke Delahunt, Head of Enterprise, Wicklow Local Enterprise Office said: ‘We are at a crucial time now, but it is not too late to start preparing for Brexit and this seminar will offer a good starting point for business owners who are wondering what to tackle first by providing a practical checklist of the essential actions needed to mitigate against risks. This is the last of the Brexit training events that we are running before the end of October.’

The guest speakers include Moria Creedon, founder of Artemis Consulting, Tom McGrath from BDO Ireland, and John Madigan from the Strategic Banking Corporatio­n of Ireland. The half-day seminar takes place on Friday, October 25 in the Parkview Hotel, Newtownmou­ntkennedy. You must book in advance.
