Now 40 years later it is proposed to meet up with as many of these girls as is possible on Saturday, November 2, upstairs in Ernies, starting at 7 p.m.

Finger food will be provided and a night of laughter, craic and lots of reminiscin­g will be on the menu. Wicklow Christmas Together has been organised for anyone in the town of Wicklow and surroundin­g areas to come and enjoy a Christmas Day dinner and festive cheer in the company of others. On Christmas Day we will be holding an event in the Parochial Hall, Wicklow Town which will include a full Christmas dinner, along with music, dancing, a sing-song and a bit of craic! It is a non-religious event and will cater for young and old, singles, couples and small families.’

Transport to and from the venue is also available. This will be the sixth year and the event is going from strength to strength.
