Juniors off to a super start
COLÁISTE BHRÍDE 5-10 OLOL ROSBERCON 1-5
THE Coláiste Bhríde Carnew girls got their Leinster Junior Camogie Championship campaign of to a winning start on Monday with a comfortable win over Our Lady of Lourdes Rosbercon.
The game, played in lovely conditions in Carnew, looked to be competitive in the opening exchanges but once the CBC ladies settled and became comfortable with their opposition they took over and controlled the remainder of the half.
The rise in standard compared to last year didn’t faze the Carnew ladies as they raced into a 4-7 to no score break at half-time. The work rate on show was something to behold not allowing their opposition any breathing space in defense where in attach Colaiste Bhride were ruthless, scoring at will. Scorers in chief were Sarah Doyle, Sabhdh Buttle and Roisin Byrne.
The work rate, hunger and desire shown by these ladies last year has not faded at all, this comfortable victory against stronger opposition being the proof.
