SHOE BOX APPEAL
Annacurra National School will be accepting filled shoe boxes for the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal. Boxes can be left on or before November 8. Thank you.
TABLE QUIZ
Annacurra Parish Council are holding a table quiz in the Saltee Pub on Saturday, November 9, starting at 8.30 p.m. It’s €10 per person, with four per table. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
WHIST
There will be a whist drive in Annacurra Community Hall next Saturday night, November 2, starting at 9 p.m.
REMEMBRANCE MASS
In November, we remember. During the month of November, we remember in a special way our beloved deceased family members, relatives and friends who have gone before us in faith. The annual Remembrance Mass will take place in St Kevin’s Church, Killaveney on Saturday, November 9, at 7.30 p.m.
If you have lost a loved one during the last 12 months, and whose funeral Mass was celebrated in St Kevin’s Church, your family are invited to this Remembrance Mass.
We will also remember parishioners’ loved ones whose Funeral Mass was celebrated elsewhere. ‘Eternal Rest grant unto their souls O Lord’. All are welcome to join in this Remembrance Mass to remember and pray for family, relatives and friends who have gone home to our Lord. If you wish to include a loved one, please contact Ellen or Mary so that a commemorative candle may be available to you during this special Mass. Together as a community, we remember them in prayer.

COFFEE DOCK
The coffee dock in Askamore is now open on Monday to Fridaymorningfrom 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., coffee/tea/hot chocolate and a biscuit €2, the state-of-the-art coffee machine takes €1 or €2 coins, self-service. We have been asked to organise talks of interest for all ages, so if you have a topic you would like discussed please let us know. Why not meet your friends or family and have a cuppa and a chat?

FINCHES FITNESS
The fit for anything group is very popular with people who may have health issues or want to take gentle exercise at their own pace. If you would like to take part come along on Wednesday mornings from 11.15 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. and stay for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat afterwards.
Pilates classes take place at 8.45 a.m. every Wednesday morning followed by fitness class at 10 a.m., if you are interested please come along or contact Finches Fitness at 086 8468165.
The pilates classes also takes place on Friday evenings at 6.45 p.m. in Coláiste Bhríde, Carnew, followed by the fitness class at 8 p.m.
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS APPEAL
Reminder to please return your Christmas Lights Donation Envelope to Carnew Training and Development Centre as soon as you can. We will appreciate any donation, however big or small. The main thing is that everyone knows that we have to raise money to light up the street for Christmas, unfortunately we are only starting out again and we need a lot of money to replace the old stock of lights – bit by bit we can get there but it is going to take time and money. Thank you for your support.

The next bingo in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew is on Sunday, November 3, and 17 all money raised will go towards the hall renovation fund, thanks to everyone for their support to date it is greatly appreciated.

The following are the walks for the next two weeks for Tinahely Walking club. November 3: Askinagap. Level B, 10km, three hours. Meet Tinahely 10 a.m. or Askinagap 10.30 a.m. November 10: Avondale. Level B-, 10km, 2.5 hours. Meet Tinahely 10 a.m. or Rathdrum carpark 10.30 a.m.
As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food and drink. Please check Tinahely Walking Club Facebook page for any changes to the scheduled walks.
