Wicklow retailers are hosting a Customer Appreciati­on Evening on Friday, December 6

THE Christmas lights have been switched on and Wicklow town is open for business.

Local traders have pulled out all the stops to ensure their premises are ready for the festive season and the town is looking wonderful.

A stroll around the town centre will ensure that you are left full of inspiratio­n.

Wicklow is known for its array of diverse retails outlets, many of which are run by local traders.

Shopping local sustains jobs and supports the local economy so how’s that for a great incentive to spend your money locally.

There are many other benefits to shopping close to home such as if returns or exchanges are needed, being able to do them with ease.

Shoppers will enjoy two hours free Christmas parking in all Pay and Display Parking areas in Wicklow town until Wednesday, January 1 2020. There will be free parking at the Seafront Car Park for the Christmas period and traders and staff can also avail of this.

This Christmas the retailers of Wicklow town are hosting a fabulous Customer Appreciati­on Evening. Starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 6 and running until late its a special thank you for all the wonderful customers who support local business through out the year. The retailers will have lots of goodies and special offers to inspire and delight not to mention the fantastic selection of goods and services available in Wicklow Town this Christmas.

Wicklow Christmas Market is set in the magical and historical Abbey grounds, taking place from 12 noon to 6 p.m. on December 7, 8, 14 and 15. There is a selection of local artisan foods, decoration­s, gifts and workshops. You can also visit Santa on a magical journey aboard the Santa express train to Santa’s Wonderland.
