TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

The following are the walks for the next two weeks for Tinahely Walking club. December 15: Ballinaman­ogue. Level B, 12km, 3.5 hours. Meet Tinahely 10 a.m. December 22: our Christmas Walk Stookeen Hill. Level C, 8km, 2.5 hours. Meet Walkers car park, Shillelagh 10.30 a.m.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food and drink. Please check Tinahely

Tinahely ICA ladies held the senior citizen Party in Murphy’s Hotel last Saturday. We would like to thank Sam and Colin and staff for a beautiful venue and a dinner was served to all our local senior citizens and a special thanks to our local business people who generously give money towards this and gave us raffle prizes for same too numerous to name but thank you all again and to Denis Monaghan for the music and Ade, Tom and Eamon for their beautiful singing. Was enjoyed by all and thanks to Joe Byrne photograph­er for taking the photos. Please God we will all meet again next year and bring along your friends.

The ICA ladies are having their Christmas Dinner in Paddy Fays (Madeline’s) on December 14 and then we are going over to the Courthouse Art Centre to the Niamh Kavanagh show (Niamh’s father is a Tinahely man) and if you can support her it would be

The sixth Tinahely Goal Mile will take place on New Year’s Day 2020 at midday in Tinahely. This is a national family event open to all to help raise funds for Goal’s work globally. The start and finish will be Murphy’s Hotel, Tinahely. Refreshmen­ts will also be served here afterwards kindly sponsored by Sam and Colin Horan.
