A former student of St Mary’s College, Ms Lott studied Beauty Therapy at Dun Laoghaire Senior College. Ms Lott had been working as a beauty therapist in the ClearSkin Clinic in Sandyford,
Co. Dublin.
On social media, staff at the clinic described Ms Lott as ‘the best colleague’ who was ‘funny, kind and beautiful both inside and out’ and a ‘very special daughter, sister and friend.’
‘She brought sunshine and light to the clinic with her beautiful smile. You just had to look into Nadine’s big, beautiful eyes and you could see her kind soul.’
‘We all enjoyed listening to her stories. Nadine had a lot of clients who loved coming into her regularly. She was so enthusiastic and loved to share her passion and knowledge with them about all things skin.
Nadine, we are going to miss you so much.’
The clinic remained closed on Wednesday last as a mark of respect of Ms Lott and her family.
Ms Lott was well-known and popular figure in Arklow. She was selected as the Arklow Maritime Festival Queen in 2008 and was among the first to take on the role.
‘All of us at Arklow RNLI are deeply saddened at the loss of Nadine, we were lucky enough to have gotten to know Nadine when she participated and won the Maritime Queen during our Maritime Festival a few years back. Our deepest condolences to all of Nadine’s family and friends,’ a spokesperson for the Arklow RNLI said.
She had also been regularly part of charity fashion shows. Most recently, she had taken part in the fashion night in aid of the Wicklow Hospice Foundation at the Woodenbridge Hotel and Lodge.
Local Fianna Fail councillor Tommy Annesley said ‘Nadine was a beautiful girl and beautiful in nature. The family are held in high esteem in Arklow and beyond.’

Wicklow Fianna Fail TD Stephen Donnelly said, ‘my deepest sympathies go out to Nadine’s family and in particular her child. I can’t imagine the horror they are going through at the moment.
Deputy Donnelly added ‘our community is in deep mourning for Nadine today. Our grief at her loss is unimaginable, but we will do our absolute best to honour her memory.’
A Dublin man has been further remanded in custody after appearing in Bray District Court on Thursday, in relation to the death of Arklow woman Nadine Lott.
Daniel Murtagh (32), 18 Melrose Avenue, Clondalkin, has been charged with assault causing harm.
The case was adjourned to Clover Hill District Court on January 14 when the defendant will appear via video link.
Barrister Éamonn O’Moore asked the judge to order the preparation of a psychiatric report. The request was granted. No application was made for bail.
The judge agreed to a request from gardaí that Mr Murtagh give notice to police if he intends to make any application for bail.
