RTE’s Des Cahill hosts Blessington awards
Sunday Game host Des Cahill is Blessington’s special
BLESSINGTON GAA held a very entertaining juvenile awards ceremony recently with the Sunday Game’s Des Cahill as special guest.
Joining Des Cahill was Cuala GAA Club President John Sheanon and both men were met by a large crowd of young footballers and parents and supporters for what was a very special event.
‘Thanks to Des Cahill (Cuala/TV personality) and John Sheanon (Cuala President) who travelled to Blessington to present the awards to our young players,’ said a Blessington GAA Club spokesperson.
‘A terrific evening in the No. 1 School for our teams from under-7 to under-17.
‘Thanks to all the coaches, Tom Hennessy (presented the Pat Fanning Cup in its 32nd year), Ivan Smyth on audio and visual, ladies on the tea and biccies, Michelle and helpers decorating the hall, Barry Cotter and all the helpers who prepared the hall and cleared it afterwards, players and parents.
‘Thanks to Phyllis Hamilton for taking official photos,’ they added.
