CHARITY MATCHES
Glencormac Utd will host its series of annual matches in aid of worthy charities. The Glens will clash with Paul Prendergast’s U14 side at noon in the Joe Molloy Shield, which is in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation; then at 1 p.m. the current senior team will take on a selection of older/ex-Glens in the Benny Finnerty’s game, which is in aid of Purple House Cancer Support group. The post-match celebrations/recharge will take place in Plucks.
ROUNDWOOD DUATHLON
The Roundwood Fun Duathlon will take place at 2 p.m. Participants can shake off the cobwebs, test the new bikes and raise vital funds for Roundwood Cancer Support Group. The route will consist of a five mile cycle and a one-mile run, taking in some of the Vartry Reservoirs trails. For families and those of a less competitive nature, there will be a shorter walk which will be entirely on footpaths or on the Vartry trails. Registration opens at 1.30 p.m. at Kavanagh’s.
FROSTED

BINGO LOCO
A special Christmas edition of Bingo Loco comes to the Royal Hotel in Bray. Doors open at 6.30 p.m., with the first game at 7.30 p.m. Bingo lovers will need their dancing shoes, as well as their bingo markers for a madcap night full of shenanigans. Celebrating the music that he grew up on, and reinterpreting the songs of his late father Ronnie, Phelim brings a Drew house session to the Whale Theatre at 8 p.m. Having established himself as one of the country’s most in-demand actors and voice-over artists, Phelim Drew has always held a special place in his heart for music.
