Pettitt’s SuperValu Arklow is finalist in Off Licence awards

PETTITT’S SuperValu Arklow were among the finalists at the recent SuperValu Off Licence of the Year awards.

The annual Edward Dillon and Santa Rita Estates SuperValu Off Licence of the Year Awards took place at The Talbot Hotel, Co. Dublin on Thursday, November 28.

The finalist stores were judged by Rodney Trenwith and were marked on a range of criteria including overall appearance, innovation and customer service. Ben Murphy and Dan Hegarty represente­d Pettitt’s SuperValu Arklow at the national awards ceremony. They were joined by Pettitt’s Group CEO Cormac Pettitt.

While the store didn’t win one of the top awards this year, the glamorous event was hosted by RTE’s Shay Byrne with entertainm­ent from top Irish comedian and actress Deirdre O’Kane.

Supervalu Balbriggan were named Leinster Store of the Year and SuperValu Glanmire won the title of SuperValu Off Licence of the Year.

This year’s winners at the Edward Dillon and Santa Rita Estates SuperValu Off Licence of the Year Award won an exclusive trip to Argentina where they will visit Mendoza and the Dona Paula Vineyards and have the chance to explore the sights of Buenos Aires.

Speaking at the event Andy O’Hara, CEO of Edward Dillon said, ‘Every year the standard of stores exceeds and surpasses the year previous. It’s brilliant to see the passion that each store has to achieve excellence. We would like to thank and congratula­te all the four winning stores, and also to each of the finalist stores.’
