Wicklow Boxing Club’s Sean Byrne got the better of Wexford’s Noel Hore but Owen Coster of St Teresa’s lost in a split decision to Ballagh’s Ryan Cullen in one of the best bouts of the night.

Gorey’s Colm Myler won a split decision against Johnny Lynch of Enniskerry. Colm McGillacuddy from Four Kings lost to Liam Whelan from Sacre Couer and Matthew Mooney of Wicklow Boxing Club had to give way to Ed Hore of Wexford C.B.S.

‘Wicklow County Board are grateful to the support from all clubs in Wicklow and Wexford and look forward to the return early next season. Thanks to Frankie Kirwan and all his helpers at Sacre Couer for hosting it and team managers, Johnno Kelly, Wexford, and Mark Buckley, Wicklow, for arranging the matches. If Saturday is anything to go by the future certainly looks good for boxing in both counties,’ said a spokesperson.
