Way With Words festival proving a huge success
READERS and writers continue to flock to Arklow and Blessington for the county’s literature festival.
Way With Words, Wicklow County Council’s literature festival, continues until Saturday March 14 with an exciting line up of events.
Highlights include author Pat McCabe in conversation with Ferdia MacAnna on Saturday, March 14 in Arklow Library at 7.30 p.m. and Michael Russell on screen writing at 7.30 p.m. in Blessington Library.
Meanwhile, Sunday Miscellany will celebrate 50 years with Catríona Ní Anluaín on Friday, March 13 at 7.30 p.m. in Blessington.
Innovative visual artist Paul Gaffney will be in Arklow on Thursday and Blessington on Saturday. On Tuesday, March 10, the Arklow Writers Group wil host an Open Mic night at 8 p.m.
Chef Catherine Fulvio and writer Sarah Webb will also be in Arklow Library on Saturday, March 14,
Now in its second year, Arts Officer Jenny Sherwin and author Olivia Fitzsimons in partnership with Executive Librarians Laura Larkin, and Deirdre Priestly have curated the lineup for 2020. The event will cater for approximately 2,000 audience members over the two-week period.
The festival has been made possible through the Creative Ireland Programme and supported by investment from Wicklow County Council.
