Festival hits the right notes
While the final three days of the 51st Arklow Music Festival were postponed due to coronavirus, many wonderful performances took place during the six days of competition.
Organisers took the decision to delay the final days of the competition following the Government’s announcement that schools, childcare facilities and cultural spaces would close until March 29.
In a statement posted on social media, the organising committee said, ‘in the context of the evolving circumstances around Covid-19, the last three days of the festival has been postponed.’
The remaining competitions will be rescheduled to a later date, depending on venue availability.
The committee also thanked performers, volunteers, staff and sponsors for their support of the festival.
