SHEEP SALES - TUESDAY 12: A bigger sale of sheep today. Spring lambs up €2 to €4 per head on last week. Trade unchanged for other classes.

Spring lambs €118 to €133 or €80 to €88 over €/kg; fat hoggets €118 to €130 or €70 to €82 over €/ kg; fat ewes €124 to €140 per head; store ewes €60 to €115 per head; ewes with lambs at foot €140 to €230 per head.

CATTLE SALES - MAY 14: Larger sale of cattle this week with a complete clearance. Demand remains high for stock to go to grass. No real change in trade.

Beef bullocks over 600kg, €550 to €715 forward store bullocks over 500kg, €450 to €640; store bullock over 400kg, €420 to €570; store bullock over 300kg, €400 to €535; Beef heifers over 500kg, €550 to €660; store heifers over 400kg, €420 to €560 over €/kg.

Continental Beef Cows sold for €510 to €680 over or for €1.50 to €1.82 per Kg, Friesian Beef Cows sold for €270 to €410 over or for €1.35 to €1.52 per kg.

Suckler cows and calves at foot €1,260 to €1,820.

CATTLE SALE - MAY 16: 830 head on offer saw all beef & forward cattle improved with a top price of €1820 paid for a LM Bullock 792 Kg. Store cattle continued to meet on excellent demand with plenty of farmer customers. Prices as follows.
