22 unit residentia­l scheme in Ashford

PLANS have been submitted to Wicklow County Council seeking permission to construct a 22 unit residentia­l scheme in Ashford.

Wynn Clons Developmen­t Limited are behind the planning applicatio­n and a decision from the local authority is due on August 10.

The planned developmen­t at Ballinalea, Ashford will require the demolition of all buildings on site including a workshop, two studio apartments and an industrial unit and a commercial unit. It is planned to replace them by constructi­ng eleven terraced ground-floor one-bedroom apartment units with access to be situated beneath duplex units.

The other eleven units will consist of terraced first and second floor (dormer space) two-bedroom duplex units with own access to be situated above the ground floor units.

There are also plans for ancillary private open spaces, communal bin area, cycling bays and hard and soft public open spaces,associated access arrangemen­ts both vehicular and pedestrian, landscapin­g work, including inter-site boundary treatments, ancillary car parking and ancillary works.
