Greenan Maze back open to the public after Covid lockdown

-

GREENAN Maze in Rathdrum was among the attractions in the Garden County that re-opened on June 29.

Run by the Wheeler family, most of the attraction’s amenities are outdoors which makes it easier to achieve social distancing.

There is no need to book a visit, however, in keeping with government protocols at busy times, numbers will have to be controlled entering the farm and the maze.

There is plenty of space with approx. 10 ac of outdoor grounds, two large outdoor mazes, three indoor museums, nature walks including a treasure hunt and fairy tree trail, coffee shop and plenty of farm animals.

All visitors are advised to wear masks and gloves as per public health guidelines, to use hand sanitiser, adhere to social distancing guidelines and follow protocols onsite which will be clearly marked at each amenity. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

The coffee shop will have takeaway sandwiches, snacks and cakes as well as great organic coffees and undercover outdoor seating is available with ample space for social distancing.

Greenan Maze are part of the Leave No Trace campaign and try to encourage the ‘7 R’s of Zero Waste Living’ which asks everyone to first ‘Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rehome, Replant, Rot’ before even considering the use of a rubbish bin.

As most of the farms amenities are outdoors, Greenan Maze is a day out for all the family while respecting social distancing guidelines.
