LACKEN-KILBRIDE

-

Juvenile training kicks off on July 6 at 6.30pm to 8pm in the new pitch in Kilbride – with all Covid preparations in place. Donal Gahan is coordinating efforts with all coaches and Covid supervisors.

And just confirmed: FREE ice cream for all at the first training session…Damien Clarke and the crew at Golden Hill Ice Cream will be at the first juvenile session of 2020 post Covid. Weather permitting, good weather that is!

Everyone in the community is welcome to attend this very first training session, which is certainly a landmark occasion.

Car Park Developments: Some of you may have seen the activity and images on the club Facebook page. Things are taking shape, and this does not happy by accident.

So, a big shout out to the local volunteers to date who have been helping readying the new car park in some shape or form, including: John Doran, Noel Kinsella, Alan Darcy, Niall Toolis from NT Heating & Plumbing, Peter O’Sullivan, Martin O’Sullivan, Ger Kelly at GKAS, John Finn of KWIK Window Repairs, John Ward at Ward Construction, Lorcan Clarke, Damien Walsh, John Jones, Justin Cummins, Nuala Haughian Sr, Tom McKeon Sr, Pat Donohoe Sr, Neil Donohoe and to Conor McNamara who lent his motor which got punctured! The list continues… Kevin and Gill McDonald, Bill Walsh, John Rossiter, Michael Reneghan, Colm Phibbs, Daniel O’Riordan, Brenda Jones, John Sweeney, Donal Gahan (and kids!), Tom and Gemma Grace. And of course, a final mention to the self-proclaimed Special One!

All working hard to get the pitch ready for the first Juvenile training session fixed for July 6... well done to all involved.

Adult training: Noel Kinsella has the lads in action this week, training in Meeks field in preparation for the start of the Junior ‘B’ championship.
