BLESSINGTON

-

Most teams have now returned to the pitch. The club and parents need to work together to reduce the risk of Covid and abide by the national protocols set out.

1. Each team along with coaches will have a Covid Supervisor. Parents will be notified of who this is before their training starts back.

2. Anyone can complete the eLearning module. However, a Parent/Guardian for children U12 must complete the module. Parent/Guardians may also wish to complete the module for youths under the age of 18, but this is a matter for each Youth and Parent/guardian. All players/children and coaches must have completed the E Learning Module and forwarded on the cert once completed. A screenshot is sufficient. https://courses.gaa.ie/Covid19ClubEd.

3. All parents/children must complete the online health questionnaire before the first training session. For every session that follows, the parent must log back in on the day of training and declare (with the click of a button) that their health status has not changed. https://returntoplay.gaa. ie. The Covid Supervisor will have access to this to ensure compliance each week and if needs be a reminder text will be sent before each session.

4. If for any reason a player is unwell, they are to remain at home and not come training. We would also suggest that any child/player in the high-risk category could use the toilet before coming training too. Toilets will be available in the blue container but on a one at a time basis. Each team will have access to sanitiser and there will be stations in the pitch also.

6. Parents will be notified on their Whats App groups what pitches their child will be training on each week, tell them where they need to go when they are dropped.

7. The drop off point will be sign posted and directed on the way into the pitch. Parents of younger children who wish to stay for the session must always remain in their cars.

8. If for any reason a child/player becomes unwell during training they will be taken to a dedicated isolation area with the Covid Supervisor/Coach and the parent will be informed asap. The club will have the necessary PPE gear available if needed.

9. Pick up times after training need to be strictly adhered to as we cannot have players waiting around especially when other teams are coming on afterwards. We are all in this together and we will do what we need to do together. If anyone has any issues or concerns, please notify your team coach or supervisor.
