Track your MDA ambulance

Pizza chains and taxi services did it before – but now Magen David Adom has, via global positioning systems, made it possible for those who call for an ambulance to follow its movements with a cellular phone until arrival. MDA said it was the first ambulance service in the world to offer such a thing, calling it a “breakthrough.” The service will be available for free and be updated in realtime. A link will be sent to the phone, that leads to a map showing the ambulance’s location from the moment it leaves the station until it reaches its destination. MDA said this was another step to strengthen public faith in the ambulance, first-aid and blood-supply organization. •
