IBM to buy Israeli digital firm EZSource
IBM is to acquire Israeli app-discovery company EZSource to help developers modernize mainframe applications for digital business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
EZSource was founded in 2003 and has offices in Modi’in, the US, the UK, Switzerland, Japan and Romania. The company was founded by CEO Eran Tirer, CTO Omer Caspi and chairman Reuven Agassi, the father of Shai Agassi.
EZSource has helped clients, including major financial institutions, manufacturers, global transportation companies and software vendors, safely modify applications to enable their digital transformation.
IBM, which has made 13 other acquisitions of Israeli companies since 1998, said the planned purchase is expected to close in the second quarter.
