Health Ministry: Don’t use Solgar No. 7
The Health Ministry warned the public on Monday against using a food additive called Solgar No.7 that makes medical claims such as it “prevents disease” in contravention of ministry regulations. The ministry’s committee for dealing with advertising that misleads the public said that the Solgar product was not authorized for use for various orthopedic problems in the wrist joint, the shoulders, knees and other joints or for sports injuries. The ministry reminded the public not to use any unregistered products that claim they cure or prevent diseases. • Judy Siegel
