App cuts police response time

-

Police announced the launch of a new smartphone application on Sunday called “Emergency 100,” which enables the user to contact emergency services by clicking on “phone.”

The application has also been incorporated into the Israeli parking application Pango, which boasts 1.5 million users. Police hope the application will shorten the response time of emergency services and provide an easy way for users to provide their locality to police. The police said the app has “the power to save lives,” while stressing that it should be used only in emergency situations. • Eliyahu Kamisher
