1. UBS
UBS held a prestigious preview event for hundreds of guests at the Fresh Paint Contemporary Art Fair. The guests were welcomed by senior UBS executives from Israel and abroad, including general manager Dr. Udi Dahan, UBS Wealth Management Israel; Ed Gordon, Lead Market Head Israel, UBS Wealth Management; Hendrik (Riki) Geldenhuys, Head Region Central & Eastern Europe, UBS Wealth Management; and Mary Rozell, Global Head, UBS Art Collection. Fresh Paint Contemporary Art Fair enjoyed the support of UBS the main sponsor of the Art Basel, for the fifth time. The following guests enjoyed an exclusive preview of the fair: Shmuel Harlap, chairman of Colmobil; Shari Arison; Gil Agmon – CEO of Delek Automotive; Ishay Davidi – FIMI; Raviv Zoller – CEO of Direct Insurance; Eldad Fresher – CEO of Mizrahi Bank; Sami Sagol; Dan Gillerman; Ilan Raviv – CEO of Meitav Dash; Arik Steinberg; Yuli Tamir; Ester Levanon, director at Leumi Bank and Yigal Landau, a controlling shareholder in Ratio.
2. Acro
For the third consecutive year, Acro Real Estate invited 250 customers and select business partners to an art fair that was founded by Yifat Gurion. The company’s managers, Tzachi Arbov, Ilan Kapon and Ziv Yaakovi welcomed the guests and invited them to listen to a lecture by Sigal Mordechai, the CEO of Sotheby’s, on the relationship between investment and art.
3. Aleh
Rabbi Yehuda Marmorstein, CEO of Aleh, and Michaela and Reuven Schiff hosted a ceremony to celebrate the launching of a transport ambulance for children in Aleh institutions to get to medical treatments. The guest of honor was Attorney-General Avicahi Mandelblit. Aleh was founded 30 years ago by Marmorstein together with a group of parents who have special needs children. It began as a small kindergarten in Bnei Brak and blossomed into a network with four centers around the country.
4. Capturing history
At Beit Hatfutsot, a new exhibition has opened up titled “Capturing History,” which is a retrospective that deals with the life and work of photographer Chim (David Seymour). Among the guests who came to the museum to learn about his work were Helen Sarid and Ben Schneiderman, Chim’s niece and nephew who initiated the exhibition, Dan Tadmor, Benny and Hannah Peri Zan, Adi and Ofir Akunis, Israel Prize Laureate photographer Micha Bar Am, and Eitan Ben Eliyahu and his wife Ravit Tarlovski.
5. Veridis Group
Ariel Kappon, CEO of The Veridis Group, which promotes environmental issues in Israel, Doron Sapir, chairman of the Hiriya Recycling Park and Moshe Kaplinsky, CEO of Nesher, inaugurated the RDF factory at the Hiriya Recycling Park, which will sort waste from and produce alternative fuel to be used at the Nesher cement plant. The trio invested NIS 400 million in founding the factory. Translated by Hannah Hochner.
