“Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund is proud to present the world with the beautiful side of Israel and its technological advancements and capabilities in forestation, water, sustainable development, agriculture and fighting desertification, which have become well-known on an international scale,” KKL-JNF chairman Danny Atar told attendees of The Jerusalem Post Annual Conference in New York via a prerecorded tape.

His remarks, which were heard on Sunday, focused on his organization’s efforts to make Israel greener and more accessible to all. “KKL-JNF is the largest Jewish environmental organization in the world and acts as an extension of the Jewish people in building and strengthening the State of Israel for generations to come,” he said.

To that end, Atar spoke of the challenges facing the Jewish Diaspora and pledged that KKLJNF will be with them every step of the way. Atar said the organization is committed to brokering a dialogue between Israel and the Diaspora to the benefit of both sides, and also pledged to hit back against rising antisemitism and the BDS movement.

“KKL-JNF is the two-way bridge between the Jewish world and the State of Israel, and works to strengthen the involvement and connection youth in the Diaspora have with the State of Israel,” he said.

Atar also acknowledged the KKL-JNF donors among the audience, thanking them for their efforts and the strong partnership they maintain with JNF-USA.

Regarding JNF-USA, he said, “For years, we have been leading projects together meant to develop the State of Israel and its sites... we are proud of the privilege to work together through a broad strategic view based on our shared values.”
