1. Abracadabra Alibaba
Mentalist Lior Suchard is continuing to appear and impress big players on the world stage. Last week it was billionaire founder of Alibaba Group Jack M, who enjoyed the show and was impressed by his skills.
2. All in the family
Lenny Lauren, the brother of fashion designer Ralph Lauren, is visiting Israel this week for the first time, and of course he didn’t pass over going to the family store. He was here as a guest of former New York consul-general Ido Aharoni.
3. Castro art
Fashion house Castro, in partnership with the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, held its third annual T-ART project, which brings together fashion and art. For the project, Castro launched a new collection of T-shirts, which are a homage to Israeli artist Igael Tumarkin, one of the country’s top artists. Those who launched the project included: Tumarkin, accompanied by his sons, Ido and Yon; Gabi and Eti Roter, CEOs of Castro; Lina Castro, Eti’s mother and founder of the company; Ron Roter, deputy CEO of the company, along with his wife, Adi Roter; and Susan Landau, CEO of the Museum of Art.
4. Wertheimer work
The multi-medium artist Ariella Wertheimer presented her exhibition ‘Chains - the Freedom to Break Free’ at the Alfa Romeo display room in Herzliya Pituah. The event was hosted by Michael Levi, chairman of Mediterranean Car Agency and Uri Lahav, CEO of MCA. The event took place during the pre-sale for Alfa Romeo’s new model Romeo Stelvio. Wertheimer’s husband, businessman Eitan Wertheimer, came to praise her.
5. Ganbei!
The senior staff of the $30 billion Chinese company Wuliangye, maker of the popular alcoholic drink baijiu, came to Israel, accompanied by the senior members of the local Yibin government to seek out business opportunities, joint ventures, and future investments in Israeli companies in the fields of agriculture, wine and alcohol.
On Wednesday evening, the Chinese guests hosted a gala event with tastings at the Beit Andromeda in Jaffa, where they had a great view of the sunset, toasted “ganbei,” and enjoyed an exquisite meal. Those at the event included Wuliangye chairman and CEO Lee Shogong, Yibin Mayor Du Ziping, businessman Idan Ofer and President of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce Uriel Lynn.
