1 Bruno Le Maire
During his visit to Israel, Bruno Le Maire, French minister of Economy and Finance, was warmly welcomed at Tel Aviv University. Le Maire was accompanied by his good friend, Francois Heilbronn, who is president of the Friends of Tel Aviv University in France, as they visited the drug development center and met with university President Prof. Joseph Klafter, chairman of the board, Prof. Jacob Frenkel, and others, including Alfred Akirov, Zohar Zisapel and Araleh Minkowski.
2 AT&T-10 band
Hundreds of employees of giant communications company AT&T who work in Israel came to Kibbutz Sdot Yam with their families to celebrate the company’s tenth anniversary in Israel. Guests were treated to a live concert by Berry Sakharof, Rami Fortis, and Hadag Nahash. Afterwards, there was a special performance by a band composed of AT&T top management called AT&T10, which includes CEO Nir Shalom, CTO Haim Karniely, Foundry Manager Gadi Porat, and HR Manager Ella ShelefAharoni. John Donovan, CEO of AT&T Global Communications, was not able to attend the event, but he did appear in a recorded greeting.
3 Gitam BBDO
Yael Almog-Zakai, a partner and deputy chairwoman at Gitam BBDO, and founder of the international organization Responsible Capitalism, recently hosted a small contingency from the organization in her home in Savyon to celebrate the upcoming Jewish New Year. Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked attended the event in an effort to learn about the organization. Others attending were Harel Wiesel, Itzik Zaig, Yigal Landau, Rick Kaplan (who came to Israel especially for the event), Eyal Malis, Moshik Teomim, Ido Har Tuv and David Maimon.
4 Louise Bourgeois
The Tel Aviv Museum of Art was the location last week for a festive pre-opening of the first exhibition in Israel by Franco-American artist Louise Bourgeois, one of the most brilliant and influential artists of the 20th century. Attending the event were museum director Suzanne Landau; chairwoman of the Friends of the museum Irith Rappaport and Glen Perry; Ruth Rappaport; chairwoman of the Friends of the museum in France Jacqueline Frydman; Marie-Louise Laband, Jerry Gorovoy, Anthony d’Offay, Hemi and Lazar Fruchter; Dubi Schiff and his wife Dr. Anna Domarev.
5 Partner at SuperLand
Partner CEO Isaac Benbenisti welcomed about 5,000 Partner employees and their families at a fun day at Super Land in celebration of the launching of Partner’s new television services. A recorded message from Eyal Kitzis was broadcast during the event, as well as the new TV Partner commercial he stars in, which show him entering Netflix series such as House of Cards, Narcos, and Black
Mirror and talking with the characters. The highlight of the evening was a live performance by Static and Ben El Tavori.
