Roads to close during Pence’s visit

During the visit of US Vice President Mike Pence, the Israel Police will close main roads and streets that the convoy is expected to pass through. King David Street in Jerusalem will be closed throughout the visit, until Tuesday evening.

On Monday, the following Jerusalem streets will be closed intermitte­ntly throughout the day: Plumer, Jabotinsky, Hanassi, Ha’ari, Azza, Nayot, Herzog, Shneur Zalman, Burla, Museums Blvd, Haminhala, Wise and Balfour.

On Tuesday, from the morning until late afternoon, the following Jerusalem streets will be temporaril­y closed: Plumer, Jabotinsky, Hanassi, Ha’ari, Azza, Herzog, Shneur Zalman, Bezalel Bazak, Shmuel Beyth, Herzl, David Remez, Ma’ale Hashalom, Derech Haofel, Dung Gate, Hebron Road, Haim Hazaz, Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, Shazar, Weitzman, Ben-Gurion and Ginot Saharov.

Before Pence’s departure on Tuesday afternoon, Route 1 West will be closed from Ginot Sakharov to the Ganot Interchang­e.

The access road from Route 6 to Route 1 will be closed, and drivers will be directed to Route 433.

Throughout Pence’s visit, the Israel Police will keep updating the public on street closures via social media and navigation applicatio­ns such as Waze.
