Grizzlies top Nuggets to snap 19-game drought

Dillon Brooks scored 24 points and Tyreke Evans added 20 points and seven assists as the Memphis Grizzlies ended a 19-game losing streak by beating the visiting Denver Nuggets 101-94 on Saturday night.
Wayne Selden scored 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting and Marc Gasol scored 14 for the Grizzlies, who won for the first time since defeating the Phoenix Suns on January 29. Jarell Martin collected 13 rebounds and JaMychal Green grabbed 11 for Memphis.
Nikola Jokic recorded 17 points and 12 rebounds and Jamal Murray scored 16 for Denver, which shot just 36.8 percent from the field.
Trail Blazers 100, Pistons 87
Damian Lillard led the way as host Portland turned back Detroit to extend its NBA-best win streak to 12 games.
Lillard collected 24 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who have won nine in a row at Moda Center and 18 of their past 19 home games. C.J. McCollum added 16 points for Portland, which had all five starters score in double figures.
Andre Drummond scored 18 points and grabbed 22 rebounds for the Pistons, who have lost eight of their past 10 games overall and 15 of the past 16 away from home.
Jazz 103, Kings 97
Donovan Mitchell scored 28 points and Rudy Gobert tallied 22 points and 13 rebounds to lift Utah past Sacramento, the Jazz’s ninth consecutive win.
Ricky Rubio added 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists for the Jazz, and Joe Ingles chipped in 14 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Utah won for the 21st time in 23 games.
Buddy Hield scored 23 points to lead the Kings. Sacramento lost to the Jazz for the third time this season despite hitting 14-of21 (66 percent) from three-point range.
Warriors 124, Suns 109
Andre Iguodala had a three-point play and a three-point basket to trigger a 16-2, third-quarter burst that allowed Golden State to turn a deficit into a lead en route to a victory at Phoenix.
Quinn Cook and Nick Young, replacing the injured Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, scored 28 and 20 points, respectively, helping the Warriors shake off a home loss to Sacramento on Friday night with just their second win in their last five games. A third Warriors star, Kevin Durant, also sat out due to an injury.
Josh Jackson poured in a season-best 36 points for the Suns, who were short-handed as well, playing without injured leading scorer Devin Booker.
Cavaliers 114, Bulls 109
LeBron James notched his 70th career triple-double with 33 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists as Cleveland held off a second-half rally by host Chicago.
James, who has 15 triple-doubles this season, became the sixth player in NBA history to reach 70 for his career, joining Oscar Robertson (181), Magic Johnson (138), Jason Kidd (107), Russell Westbrook (101) and Wilt Chamberlain (78).
Jeff Green added 21 points for Cleveland, which won for the second time in three games and finished its six-game road trip at .500. Denzel Valentine scored a careerhigh 34 points on a personal-best 8-of-11 shooting from three-point range to lead Chicago.
Rockets 107, Pelicans 101
James Harden had 32 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists as Houston defeated visiting New Orleans.
Chris Paul added 21 points, Trevor Ariza scored 17 and Clint Capela had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Rockets.
Anthony Davis had 26 points and 13 rebounds, and Jrue Holiday scored 19 for the Pelicans, who lost for the fourth time in five games, further loosening their hold on a Western Conference playoff spot.
Wizards 109, Pacers 102
Bradley Beal scored 19 points and led the way as five Wizards finished in double figures, helping Washington post a victory over visiting Indiana.
The win gave Washington a victory in the season series 2-1 – which means the Wizards would get the tie-breaker if the teams end up with the same record at season’s end. Both teams are now 40-30.
Marcin Gortat added 18 points for Washington, while Indiana’s Lance Stephenson scored a game-high 25 points in defeat.
Knicks 124, Hornets 101
Tim Hardaway Jr. had 25 points and four bench players scored in double figures as host New York defeated Charlotte.
Hornets center Dwight Howard, who had a string of recent 30-point games, had just 14 points to go along with his 13 rebounds for Charlotte, which lost for the seventh time in nine games.
New York, which came into the game having lost nine straight and 17 of 18, broke out of its slump with a huge offensive performance, particularly in the third quarter, when the Knicks racked up 42 points.
