1. Ackman-Ziff
Ruben Eblagon, chairman of the Rosario Capital underwriting and investment company, and Simon Ziff, president of American real estate finance company Ackman-Ziff, recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement in the field of financing for Israeli real estate companies that invest in the US. The two men invited business executives to a festive toast at the High & Event Complex. Ziff, who also serves as chairman of AIPAC’s real estate division in New York, welcomed the guests: Lior Pais, CEO, Rosario Capital; Uzi Danino, former Excellence CEO and director at Rosario Capital; Avi Levy, CEO of Melisron; Gilad Altshuler, Co-CEO of Altschuler-Shaham; and Rami Nussbaum, Chairman of Ashtrom.
2. Pitaro
Pitaro, an Israeli furniture manufacturer, inaugurated its new design complex, which includes two innovative exhibition halls designed to combine business and leisure, alongside Atelier, the company’s veteran woodworking shop. The event was attended by Ora Pitaro-Blechman and Shalom Blechman, architects Pitzo Kedem, Sigal Baranovich and Irena Goldberg, who designed the new design complex. More than 300 guests from Israel and abroad attended event.
3. Rechter Center
An event was recently held in the Assia Hall at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, to launch the Rechter Center for Architecture. The Center was founded to promote independent, original and extensive thinking about built-up areas, culture and society, and to develop innovative ideas and multi-disciplinary thinking about architecture and the human environment.
Attending were Prof. Dan Shechtman, Danny Yatom, Amir Peretz, architect Avner Yashar, Dani Karavan, artist Sigalit Landau, Totti Perry Rechter, daughter of Ze’ev Rechter and co-founder of the center, Amnon Rechter, co-founder of the center, and architect Roy Gordon, CEO of Rechter Architects.
4. Italian Jewish community
Guido Ottolenghi, an Italian Jewish community leader and businessman who is director of the Jewish Museum in Bologna, hosted a gala dinner for the Museum of the Jewish People at Beth Hatefutsot, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The festive cocktail was held at the Palazzo Malvezzi. Attending were Bologna Mayor Virginio Merola; Israel’s Ambassador to Italy Ofer Zacks; President of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities Noemi Di Segni; Dan Tadmor, director-general of Beit Hatfutsot; Adi Akunis, director of External Relations of the Museum; and businesswoman Claudia de Benedetti, a member of the Board of Governors of Beth Hatefutsot.
5. Andi Mack
Disney Channel teen star Joshua Rush recently arrived in Israel to promote Andi Mack, the American comedy-drama television series he is starring in, which is being shown on the Disney Channel in Israel.
The young star has already gained an impressive reputation in Hollywood, and has a strong, young fan base. Rush was accompanied by Guy Karni, general manager of Disney Channels Israel, Greece, Cyprus and Malta.
