1. Judoka Sagi Muki
PassportCard has signed an agreement with Israeli Judoka Sagi Muki, who’s won the European championship twice and is Israel’s judo candidate for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Muki is one of Israel’s leading judokas and the first to win the European Championship in two different weight categories. Yoel Amir, CEO of PassportCard, congratulated Muki, calling him a wonderful athlete who sets an example for us all with his hard work and dedication that bring results.
2. Carmel Winery
Nadav Arens, CEO of the Carmel Winery, and Yiftach Peretz, the chief vintner, launched a number of festive wines just in time for Rosh Hashanah. The celebration took place at the Carmel Wine Center in Zichron Yaakov, and included a visit to the Petit-Verdot vineyard, a tour of the winery, and a scrumptious dinner – served with the new wines – that was prepared by chef Assaf Shinar from the “Havat Hatzuk” restaurant. The dinner was held in the ancient cellar of the winery between the barrels.
3. Hayim Association
Last Wednesday, Avi Castro held a fundraising event for The Hayim Association for Children with Cancer in Israel. The event took place in the Beit Hasmachot compound in Tel Aviv and was held in memory of Ben Castro, Avi’s son, who died five years ago. The evening was organized by Shirly Isarov and moderated by Galit Gutman, both of whom volunteered their time. There was an auction of reproductions of the series of paintings titled “Chemical Jerusalem” created by artist Eliyahou Eric Bokobza. Attending the evening were: Castro family members: Lena Castro, Etti and Gabi Rotter and sons Ariel, Ron, Or and Avshalom Cohen, chairman and CEO of the Hayim Association.
4. Keshet Eilon
The Keshet Eilon Music Center’s gala concert took place this past Wednesday at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center. The concert was the closing event for Keshet Eilon’s summer course, performed by 60 outstanding students from all over the world who studied in master classes under the musical direction of Itzhak Rashkovsky. Rami Shalmor, chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Keshet Eilon, and Gilad Sheba, thanked the guests for their contributions to the important musical institution. Raya Strauss, who supports the unique musical project, thanked Sheba and promised that together they will continue to build a school according to his vision.
5. Terre D’Hermes
Senior managers at April Cosmetics, the official representative of the French fragrance brand Hermes in Israel, hosted an event to launch Terre D’Hermes, the new luxury Eau De Toilettes series for men. The event was based on the brand’s international launching, and included virtual reality stations. Attending the launching was Charlotte De Lafara, director of media relations and key opinion-leaders at Hermes who met with Erez
