Taking orders from overseas?

-

Regarding “PM angers settlers by advancing only 1,400 homes,” August 23), why are they angry? They voted for him knowing his policies, which he has not hidden except for some double speak. They will be lucky if even that paltry amount actually goes through.

The Yesha Council said that “a nationalist gov’t should be expanding construction, not reducing it.” Absolutely correct – except this is not a nationalist government, which has long been obvious. People want to see what they want to see, not the facts.

Land of Israel Caucus heads MKs Yoav Kisch and Bezalel Smotrich were upset that the advancement of plans to legalize the Haro’eh Ha’ivri and Ibei Hanahal outposts were removed from the agenda at the last minute, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does this all the time.

Gush Etzion Council head Shlomo Ne’eman, in whose region the Ibei Hanahal outpost is located, said that his staff had worked for over a year to prepare for this meeting. He blamed US pressure for the outpost’s removal from the agenda, saying “It’s a terrible thing when the government orders a professional body to operate based on overseas instructions.”

A prime minister of a sovereign state who goes against the needs of his country because he lacks the faith and courage to stand up to outside pressure, will always surrender; it should be noted that Netanyahu has always refused to declare sovereignty over the land, refuses to destroy Hamas and re-take Gaza, and continues to support the Fatah thugs led by Mahmoud Abbas, who follows in the footsteps of his mentor arch terrorist Yasser Arafat.
