Eight breathtaking minutes will transform a visit to the Western Wall into a powerful and emotional experience. The Western Wall Heritage Foundation invites you to discover the secrets of the Western Wall through an innovative and exciting audio-visual presentation, telling the story of the place that is in the heart of us all.
The intermediate days of Passover are an opportunity for a spiritual and exciting experience with family. We set out to find a place that combines old and new, prayer and archaeology. And so, we came to the Western Wall, the remnant of our Temple, and the place where the Divine Presence has never departed.
During the intermediate days, you can combine a visit to the Western Wall with attending Birkat Kohanim (the Priestly Blessing ceremony) and fascinating tours of the Western Wall Tunnels. Go back in time, touch the past, and connect to the place that is in the heart of us all.
The Gateway to Heaven is a new and special experience that has just opened to the public. It is located inside the Western Wall Heritage Center, in the back of the upper plaza facing the Western Wall. The audio-visual presentation captivates visitors for 8 minutes, opening doors to our history and to who we are, and answering questions like: Why did the paratroopers cry when they liberated the Wall? What brings crowds from all corners of the earth to cling to these ancient stones?
In 8 minutes, visitors are exposed to the secret of the
Western Wall - how for 4,000 years there has been one nation that never stopped dreaming and always had one place that was a Gateway to Heaven for them, inspiring them not to give up on their dream the stones of the Western Wall, the Gateway to Heaven, the beating heart of the Jewish people.
The new Gateway to Heaven at the Western Wall is now open to visitors and tickets can be purchased for the intermediate days of Passover.
