La Triennale ha ospitato da poco gli una giornata di discussione sul senso della professione, sui vincoli che ne frenano lo sviluppo e sulle ragioni di un cambiamento necessario. Molte le domande, meno le risposte, ma una grande consapevolezza sembra aver risvegliato il settore
The Triennale recently hosted the which saw a day of debate over the meaning of this profession, the constraints that are holding back its development and the reasons why change is necessary. There were lots of questions and fewer answers, but the sector seems to be showing signs of a great awakening “Dal cucchiaio alla città” descrive ancora bene la tipicità della pratica professionale italiana? Gli studi piccoli funzionano o bisogna puntare alla creazione di strutture più ampie? Come vanno istruiti i concorsi per essere davvero utili? A queste e a tante altre domande sulla situazione peculiare dell’architettura italiana sono arrivate risposte complesse e a volte contraddittorie durante gli Stati Generali dell’architettura che si sono svolti in Triennale lo scorso 2 febbraio. L’incontro voluto dall’Ordine degli Architetti di Milano, cui hanno partecipato circa 700 professionisti, ha consentito di fare luce su diversi temi d’attualità. «Siamo tanti, forse troppi, 150mila in Italia», racconta l’Ordine. «Per darsi più possibilità occorre essere sempre più qualificati. E poi bisogna imparare a consorziarsi. Lo impone anche il nuovo metodo di lavoro internazionale basato sul Building Information Modelling (BIM), il sistema di gestione integrata del progetto». Per tentare di sciogliere i tanti nodi, ma anche Is “from the spoon to the city” still a good description of the typical approach to architectural practice in Italy? Do small studios work or is it necessary to set up larger structures? How should competitions be organized in order to make them really useful? Some complex and sometimes contradictory responses were made to these and many other questions concerning the peculiar situation of Italian architecture during the States General of Architecture that was held at the Triennale on February 2. This meeting, organized by the Milan Association of Architects and attended by around 700 professionals, has thrown light on a number of important topics. As one association representative said, “There are a lot of us, perhaps too many – some 150,000 in Italy. To give ourselves more possibilities we need to be better qualified. And then we have to learn to pool our efforts. This is something that is also required by new international work methods based on Building Information Modelling (BIM), a system for integrated management of the project.”
