Una notte infinita / The Night that Never Stops
(FO)
From 17 March to 9 September 2018, the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein presents Night Fever. Designing Club Culture 1960–Today, an exhibition that looks at the discothèque from the 1960s to the present day. Curated by Jochen Eisenbrand with Catharine Rossi and Katarina Serulus, the show highlights how the birth of the discothèque called into question established codes of social life and merged interior design, graphics and art with sound, light, fashion and special effects. Examples range from the Gruppo 9999’s Space Electronic in Florence, to the legendary Studio 54 in New York, and the concept by OMA for the Ministry of Sound in London.
