È con­to al­la ro­ve­scia per l’an­ni­ver­sa­rio del Bau­haus. Nei 14 an­ni del­la sua esi­sten­za – dal 1919 al 1933 – que­sta im­por­tan­te scuo­la te­de­sca con se­de pri­ma a Wei­mar poi a Des­sau e Ber­li­no ha in­ven­ta­to me­to­di che han­no in­fluen­za­to in­te­re ge­ne­ra­zio­ni ar­ti­sti e pro­get­ti­sti, de­ter­mi­nan­do an­che l’este­ti­ca del tem­po. Il com­plean­no coin­ci­de con l’aper­tu­ra del nuo­vo Mu­seo Bau­haus a Des­sau, pro­get­ta­to dal­lo stu­dio ca­ta­la­no Ad­den­da Ar­chi­tec­ts (Gon­zá­lez, Hinz e Za­ba­la), che ospi­te­rà i cir­ca 40mi­la pez­zi di cui la Bau­haus Des­sau Foun­da­tion di­spo­ne ma che non ha mai avu­to lo spa­zio per espor­re. Al­tro nuo­vo luo­go dedicato è il Mu­seo di Wei­mar pro­get­ta­to da Hei­ke Ha­na­da e Be­ne­dict To­non do­ve ver­ran­no tra­sfe­ri­te le col­le­zio­ni del­la Klas­sik Stif­tung Wei­mar (l’ex Mu­seo Gran­du­ca­le di Wei­mar), tra le rac­col­te sto­ri­che di gra­fi­ca più pre­sti­gio­se. L’ul­ti­mo nuo­vo “con­te­ni­to­re” (apri­rà pe­rò nel 2021) è la tor­re di ve­tro alta cin­que pia­ni di Staab Ar­chi­tek­ten che am­plia l’Ar­chi­vio di Ber­li­no co­strui­to da Gro­pius nel 1979. 2019 will mark one hun­dred years sin­ce the Bau­haus ca­me in­to being. In the 14 years of its exi­sten­ce – from 1919 to 1933 – this im­por­tant Ger­man school, ba­sed fir­st in Wei­mar, then in Des­sau and la­ter in Ber­lin in­ven­ted me­thods that in­fluen­ced who­le ge­ne­ra­tions of ar­tists and de­si­gners, and in­tro­du­ced a who­le new ae­sthe­tic for the age. The an­ni­ver­sa­ry coin­ci­des wi­th the ope­ning of the new Bau­haus Mu­seum in Des­sau by the Ca­ta­lan stu­dio Ad­den­da Ar­chi­tec­ts that will hou­se the 40,000 items the Bau­haus Des­sau Foun­da­tion holds, but whi­ch it has ne­ver had the spa­ce to ex­hi­bit. Ano­ther new re­la­ted si­te is the Mu­seum of Wei­mar, by Hei­ke Ha­na­da and Be­ne­dict, the new ho­me of the col­lec­tions of the Klas­sik Stif­tung Wei­mar (for­mer­ly the Grand Du­cal Mu­seum of Wei­mar, top gra­phic art col­lec­tion). The la­st new “con­tai­ner” (due to open in 2021) is the fi­ve-sto­rey gla­zed to­wer by Staab Ar­chi­tek­ten. It will crea­te ad­di­tio­nal spa­ce for the Ber­lin Ar­chi­ve built by Gro­pius in 1979
