È PICCOLO MA DOTATO DI GRANDE PERSONALITÀ il loft milanese con parete di fondo vetrata su due livelli che, attraverso la cornice lignea scorrevole, si affaccia sulla balconata e sul panorama verde di Parco Sempione, restituendo luce naturale all’ambiente interno recentemente ristrutturato. Il progetto di Alessandra Dalloli ha puntato proprio sulla forza di questo elemento originale, che definisce tutti i 42 mini appartamenti duplex della casa-albergo di via Bertani 10, concepita nella seconda metà degli anni Sessanta da Giulio Minoletti per i piloti Alitalia: un edificio severo con un basamento su due piani sormontato da tre loggiati continui, in cui si incastonano le residenze come in questo caso, che non raggiungono i 70 metri quadrati soppalco compreso. L’elemento ligneo è stato ripreso nel nuovo pavimento di noce a doghe orizzontali impreziosito da listelli di ottone satinato che corrono paralleli alla lunghezza dell’open space, dove si uniscono soggiorno e cucina. IT’S SMALL BUT HAS A LOT OF PERSONALITY, the Milanese flat with a glass rear wall on two levels that, through the sliding wooden frame, faces onto the balcony and the verdant panorama of Parco Sempione, letting natural light into the recently renovated interior. The project of the architect Alessandra Dalloli has bet on the strength of this original structural element, which defines all 42 of the mini duplexes in the block of service flats at Via Bertani 10, designed in the second half of the 1960s by Giulio Minoletti for the use of Alitalia pilots: a severe building with an imposing two-storey base surmounted by three running galleries, in which are set the residences, which in this case as in the others, have an area of less than 70 square metres including the loft. This wooden element has been echoed in the new flooring of horizontal walnut planks embellished with strips of brushed brass that run parallel to the length of the open space, where living room and kitchen are combined. The latter has been bespoke designed with a top of lava stone and table and wall inserts made from the same planks as
tra lavica, tavolo e inserti parietali realizzati con le stesse doghe del pavimento, mentre per il soggiorno, oltre al recupero della credenza preesistente, sono stati scelti arredi importanti, come il Coffee Table di Isamu Noguchi per Vitra e la lampada Parentesi di Achille Castiglioni per Flos. Un vecchio crogiolo per fonderia funge da vaso per una pianta tropicale che si sviluppa in altezza, a sottolineare la verticalità dello spazio e delle pareti rasate con effetto marmorino grigio. Il secondo livello comprende stanza da letto e bagno, rivestito da lastre di grès di grande formato, con porta scorrevole che permette una vista sul parco anche dal box doccia. Dietro il letto, un’intelaiatura di legno incornicia vetri opalini rosa fumé, che di notte si trasformano in light box retroilluminati, ma che hanno la funzione primaria di estendere la luce naturale fin dentro la cabina armadio, e da lì anche al bagno attraverso degli inserti vetrati. Parentesi lamp by Flos. An old foundry crucible serves as a pot for a tall tropical plant that emphasizes the verticality of the space and the walls plastered with grey stucco. The second level houses bedroom and bathroom, faced entirely with large stoneware tiles and fitted with a sliding door that offers a view of the park from the shower cabin too. Behind the bed, a wooden framework holds panes of pink smoke-grey opal glass that at night turn into backlit light boxes, but whose primary function is to bring natural light into the walk-in wardrobe, and from there into the bathroom as well through glazed inserts. A system of home automation allows the configuration of different lighting environments all over the flat.
