PER FAR FRON­TE al­le sem­pre più fre­quen­ti inon­da­zio­ni in cit­tà, lo stu­dio Tra­d­je Na­tu­re di Co­pe­na­ghen (con Co­wi e Ram­bøll) pro­po­ne Third Na­tu­re, un gran­de par­cheg­gio mul­ti­pia­no sot­ter­ra­neo che all’oc­cor­ren­za si sol­le­va per im­ma­gaz­zi­na­re l’ac­qua in ec­ces­so. At­tra­ver­so un si­ste­ma di scor­ri­men­to idrau­li­co e gra­zie al­la spin­ta dell’ac­qua, la strut­tu­ra di so­ste­gno del par­cheg­gio vie­ne sol­le­va­ta fi­no a com­pa­ri­re nel pae­sag­gio ur­ba­no di­se­gnan­do un nuo­vo vo­lu­me. In som­mi­tà, con o sen­za la pre­sen­za di ac­qua, la su­per­fi­cie del par­cheg­gio ri­mar­rà at­trez­za­ta a ver­de col­let­ti­vo. Il pro­get­to al­lo sta­to è un pro­to­ti­po am­bien­ta­to in St. John’s Park a New York. (Pie­tro Mez­zi)

TO FA­CE the mo­re and mo­re fre­quent floods in the ci­ties, the Co­pe­n­ha­gen-ba­sed stu­dio Tra­d­je Na­tu­re (in col­la­bo­ra­tion wi­th Co­wi and Ram­bøll) ca­me up wi­th Third Na­tu­re, a hu­ge un­der­ground mul­ti-sto­rey car park that, as nee­ded, will ri­se up and sto­re ex­cess wa­ter. Th­rou­gh hy­drau­lic buoyan­cy and thanks to the for­ce of wa­ter, the car park’s sup­por­ting struc­tu­re will ri­se up un­til it ap­pears in the ur­ban land­sca­pe ou­tli­ning a new vo­lu­me. Up top, wi­th or wi­thout the pre­sen­ce of wa­ter, the sur­fa­ce of the car park will be equip­ped wi­th gree­ne­ry and shared pu­blic ser­vi­ces. At this tage the in­no­va­ti­ve pro­ject is a pro­to­ty­pe set in St. John’s Park in New York.
