PER FAR FRONTE alle sempre più frequenti inondazioni in città, lo studio Tradje Nature di Copenaghen (con Cowi e Rambøll) propone Third Nature, un grande parcheggio multipiano sotterraneo che all’occorrenza si solleva per immagazzinare l’acqua in eccesso. Attraverso un sistema di scorrimento idraulico e grazie alla spinta dell’acqua, la struttura di sostegno del parcheggio viene sollevata fino a comparire nel paesaggio urbano disegnando un nuovo volume. In sommità, con o senza la presenza di acqua, la superficie del parcheggio rimarrà attrezzata a verde collettivo. Il progetto allo stato è un prototipo ambientato in St. John’s Park a New York. TO FACE the more and more frequent floods in the cities, the Copenhagen-based studio Tradje Nature (in collaboration with Cowi and Rambøll) came up with Third Nature, a huge underground multi-storey car park that, as needed, will rise up and store excess water. Through hydraulic buoyancy and thanks to the force of water, the car park’s supporting structure will rise up until it appears in the urban landscape outlining a new volume. Up top, with or without the presence of water, the surface of the car park will be equipped with greenery and shared public services. At this tage the innovative project is a prototype set in St. John’s Park in New York.
