Batte bandiera piratesca la seconda edizione di Isola Design District, a conferma dell’anima scanzonata degli espositori, designers e brand emergenti, con una forte componente internazionale. Tema di quest’anno è Rethinking materials, reinterpretazione dei materiali e della loro sosteniblità. Sotto il Bosco Verticale i bambini ritroveranno il braccio robotico che stamperà in 3D un parco giochi progettato da Caracol Studio. Confermata anche la presenza del collettivo Dutch Invertuals allo Spazio O’ (via Pastrengo 12) e di Source che da Zonak (via Spalato 11) propone la mostra Lovely waste dedicata al recupero degli scarti di produzione. Il Milan Design Market torna allo Studio Fotografico Gianni Rizzotti (via Pastrengo 14).

The Isola Design District is flying a pirate flag, in confirmation of the carefree spirit of the exhibitors, up-and-coming designers and brands with a strong foreign component. This year’s theme is Rethinking Materials, which takes a non-traditional look at materials and their sustainability. Under the Vertical Forest children will find again the robotic arm which will print in 3D an adventure playground designed by Caracol Studio. Also confirmed is the presence of the Dutch Invertuals collective at Spazio O’ (Via Patrengo 12) and of Source which, at Zonak (Via Spalato 11), will put on the exhibition Lovely Waste, devoted to the reutilization of production waste.
