TO BEN SEI PREMI. E lo scor­so mag­gio l’in­fluen­te lu­xu­ry fo­rum sta­tu­ni­ten­se Robb Re­port l’ha de­fi­ni­to “il mi­glior mo­to­rya­cht nel­la ca­te­go­ria tra i 100 e i 200 pie­di”. Par­lia­mo di Gran­de 35 Me­tri, l’at­tua­le am­mi­ra­glia del can­tie­re Azi­mut, de­ci­sa­men­te fuo­ri­clas­se per in­no­va­zio­ni tec­no­lo­gi­ca e design. Gli interni di que­sta im­bar­ca­zio­ne so­no di par­ti­co­la­re fa­sci­no e li fir­ma Achil­le Sal­va­gni, ya­cht de­si­gner romano con una gran­de espe­rien­za an­che in cam­po re­si­den­zia­le. La se­quen­za di am­bien­ti il­lu­mi­na­ti da gran­di ve­tra­te è ca­rat­te­riz­za­ta da un lay­out si­nuo­so e da un in­te­rior de­co­ra­tion che gio­ca su­gli op­po­sti (opa­co-lu­ci­do, ma­te­ri­co con in­ser­ti d’ot­to­ne, bron­zo, ac­cia­io lu­ci­do).

FEWER THAN SIX awards. And la­st May the in­fluen­tial US lu­xu­ry ma­ga­zi­ne Robb Re­port cal­led it “the best mo­tor-ya­cht in the 100-200 feet ca­te­go­ry.” We are tal­king about the Gran­de 35 Me­tri, the cur­rent flag­ship for the Azi­mut fleet, a world bea­ter in terms of tech­no­lo­gi­cal in­no­va­tion and design. The ves­sel’s de­light­ful interiors are by Roman ya­cht de­si­gner Achil­le Sal­va­gni, who al­so has ex­ten­si­ve ex­pe­rien­ce in the re­si­den­tial sec­tor. The in­te­rior lay­out, il­lu­mi­na­ted by lar­ge win­do­ws, is mar­ked by flo­wing li­nes and an in­te­rior dé­cor ba­sed on the use of con­tra­st (matt-gloss, tex­tu­red sur­fa­ces wi­th brass, bron­ze and po­li­shed steel in­serts). L’ar­chi­tet­to ha fat­to rea­liz­za­re su suo di­se­gno an­che gli ar­re­di, uti­liz­zan­do es­sen­ze pre­gia­te co­me mo­ga­no lu­ci­do e quer­cia (que­st’ul­ti­ma – tin­ta gri­gio con in­ser­ti di wen­gé – si ri­tro­va an­che nei par­quet). Nel sa­lo­ne del main deck il gran­de di­va­no crea un’iso­la per il re­lax che non in­ter­fe­ri­sce con le pa­re­ti e le fi­ne­stra­tu­re, cir­con­da­to da un in­sie­me di ele­men­ti (tra cui il con­te­ni­to­re con ba­se di mar­mo di Car­ra­ra e spor­tel­li di mo­ga­no lu­ci­do, e il cof­fee ta­ble con top di fo­glia d’al­lu­mi­nio an­ti­ca­to). La spe­cia­le pia­ce­vo­lez­za del sa­lo­ne si ri­tro­va an­che nel­la sui­te ar­ma­to­ria­le sul main deck, do­ve tut­to ruo­ta at­tor­no al let­to, con ba­se di pel­le co­lor ghiac­cio (Ma­strot­to) e te­sta­ta ri­ve­sti­ta di tes­su­to ( Fo­cus di Zim­mer Roh­de). Una del­le am­pie ve­tra­te fur­ni­shings fit­ted, ma­de from qua­li­ty woods su­ch as po­li­shed ma­ho­ga­ny and oak (the lat­ter – grey stai­ned wi­th wen­gé in­serts – al­so ap­pears in the par­quet). The lar­ge so­fa in the main deck loun­ge crea­tes an island for re­la­xa­tion wi­thout in­ter­fe­ring wi­th the walls and win­do­ws, whi­ch are sur­roun­ded by a set of ele­men­ts (in­clu­ding a sto­ra­ge unit wi­th Car­ra­ra mar­ble ba­se and po­li­shed ma­ho­ga­ny doors, and cof­fee ta­ble wi­th an­ti­que-ef­fect alu­mi­num leaf top). The ap­peal of the ta­ste­ful loun­ge is re­pea­ted in the ma­ster sui­te on the main deck, whe­re eve­ry­thing re­vol­ves around the bed, wi­th its ice-co­lou­red lea­ther ba­se (Ma­strot­to) and fa­bric-co­ve­red head­board ( Fo­cus by Zim­mer Roh­de). There is a de­sk in front of one of the sui­te’s

Una sca­la eli­coi­da­le uni­sce tut­ti i ponti, dal lo­wer deck alla ti­mo­ne­ria: gli sca­li­ni so­no di oni­ce re­troil­lu­mi­na­to, i fian­chi ester­ni e interni han­no fi­ni­tu­re di­ver­se e pre­zio­se, dal bian­co lac­ca­to al ma­dre­per­la. Tan­te le aree ester­ne e le ter­raz­ze sul ma­re di que­sta nuo­va im­bar­ca­zio­ne dal pro­fi­lo fi­lan­te: una gran­de piat­ta­for­ma bal­nea­re pi­vo­tan­te svi­lup­pa una “bea­ch area” di 12 me­tri qua­dra­ti a pop­pa. Men­tre l’area so­le a prua, di ben tren­ta me­tri qua­dra­ti, of­fre di­va­ni, pren­di­so­le e una va­sca idro­mas­sag­gio. ○ lar­ge win­do­ws (wi­th a li­mi­ted-edi­tion lamp by Sal­va­gni), whi­le the other win­dow – wi­th a so­phi­sti­ca­ted “pop up” me­cha­ni­sm – opens out over the si­de of the ya­cht to crea­te an “in­stant bal­co­ny”, a pri­va­te ter­ra­ce wi­th spec­ta­cu­lar sea views. A spi­ral stair­ca­se con­nec­ts all the le­vels, from the lo­wer deck to the pi­lo­thou­se. The steps are rear-lit onyx, whi­le the in­ner and ou­ter si­des ha­ve va­rious ex­qui­si­te fi­ni­shes, ran­ging from whi­te lac­quer work to mo­ther-of-pearl. This beau­ti­ful­ly stream­li­ned boat has ma­ny ou­tsi­de areas loo­king out over the sea. A big pi­vo­ting swim plat­form crea­tes a ma­gni­fi­cent 12-squa­re-me­tre bea­ch in the aft area. The 30-squa­re-me­tre bow sun­deck, mea­n­whi­le, of­fers so­fas, mul­ti­ple sun pads and a hy­dro-mas­sa­ge tub.

Il di­va­no del sa­lo­ne sul main deck con­fe­ri­sce di­na­mi­smo all’am­bien­te in­sie­me a ele­men­ti au­to­no­mi che con­cor­ro­no alla cir­co­la­ri­tà spa­zia­le. In aper­tu­ra, l’Azi­mut Gran­de 35 Me­tri, nuo­va am­mi­ra­glia del­la li­nea Gran­de, ha un’ori­gi­na­le prua tra­pe­zoi­da­le che con­sen­te di am­plia­re il pia­no di cal­pe­stio.The so­fa in the sa­loon on the main deck ma­kes the room mo­re dynamic, whi­le in­de­pen­dent ele­men­ts con­tri­bu­te to the spa­tial cir­cu­la­ri­ty. Pre­vious pa­ge, the Azi­mut Gran­de 35 Me­tri, the Gran­de li­ne’s new flag­ship, has an ori­gi­nal tra­pe­zoid prow that in­crea­ses the floor sur­fa­ce.

The main ca­bin has an in­stant bal­co­ny, whi­ch opens out by means of a pop-up me­cha­ni­sm. Be­low, the di­ning area of the li­ving spa­ce: all the fur­ni­shings, in­clu­ding the lighting abo­ve the ta­ble, we­re de­si­gned by Achil­le Sal­va­gni.

La ca­bi­na ar­ma­to­ria­le di­spo­ne di un In­stant bal­co­ny, che si apre con un mec­ca­ni­smo pop up. Sot­to, la zo­na pran­zo del li­ving: tut­ti i mo­bi­li, in­clu­so il si­ste­ma di fa­ret­ti so­pra il ta­vo­lo, so­no disegnati da Achil­le Sal­va­gni.
