UNA TORRE DEDICATA ALLA SALUTE A TOWER DEDICATED TO HEALTH

SITUATA ALL’INTERNO DEL COMPLESSO del Panum, introverso capolavoro brutalista che dagli anni Settanta ospita la facoltà di Scienze della salute dell’università di Copenaghen, la Maersk Tower porta la firma dello studio danese C.F.Møller. Scopo della torre è non solo riallacciare alla città la vasta area della facoltà con il suo grande parco, ma anche potenziare grazie a un edificio avveniristico la competitività internazionale della Danimarca nel campo della ricerca medica. L’edificio accoglie infatti non solo spazi riservati alla ricerca e all’insegnamento, ma anche un centro congressi dotato di auditorium e sale riunioni, consentendo il coinvolgimento e la sensibilizzazione della collettività alle fondamentali tematiche connesse con la salute. (Elena Franzoia) LOCATED INSIDE THE PANUM COMPLEX, the introverted brutalist masterpiece that since the 1970s has housed the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences of the University of Copenhagen, the Maersk Tower bears the mark of the Danish firm CFMøller. The aim of the tower is not only to reconnect the city to the vast area occupied by the faculty with its large park, but also to increase, thanks to a futuristic building, Denmark’s international competitiveness in the field of medical research. The building not only contains spaces dedicated to research and teaching, but also a conference centre with an auditorium and meeting rooms, allowing for the community to be involved in and aware of fundamental issues related to health.

The star-shaped ramp of the building was built around a central space designed as a gathering place. La Maersk Tower ha una rampa a forma di stella che “abbraccia” lo spazio pubblico al piano terreno, pensato come luogo di incontro.
