NEGLI ULTIMI QUINDICI ANNI lo studio di Lubiana Enota ha realizzato una serie di progetti per le terme Olimia, in Slovenia, ammodernando le strutture degli anni Ottanta. L’ultimo intervento consiste in una nuova copertura per la piscina all’aperto. Gli architetti hanno deciso di riferirsi alle costruzioni rurali della zona, riprendendo il tema dei tetti a falde, moltiplicati attraverso un gioco di piegature. Il grande tetto, punteggiato da lucernari e rivestito con legno chiaro all’intradosso, riesce a generare una sensazione curiosa, come se la piscina fosse ancora all’esterno, anche grazie alle grandi finestre disposte sul perimetro. IN THE LAST FIFTEEN YEARS, the Ljubljana-based firm Enota has carried out a series of projects for the Olimia hot springs, in Slovenia, modernizing the somewhat old facilities that date from the 1980s. The latest intervention consists of a new roof for the outdoor swimming pool. The architects decided to refer to the area’s rural buildings, echoing the theme of pitched roofs, multiplied through a play of folds. The large roof, dotted with skylights and clad in light coloured wood on the underside, manages to generate a curious sensation, as if the swimming pool were still outside, thanks also to the windows arranged around the perimeter.
