HOTEL CASA AMSTERDAM

APPENA FUORI DAL CENTRO STORICO DELLA CAPITALE DEI PAESI BASSI ha aperto i battenti la nuova sede dell’Hotel Casa Amsterdam, nato nel 1957 per ovviare alla carenza di alloggi per gli studenti. Varcata la soglia, l’hotel si propone come un tripudio di ambienti eterogenei, moderni e colorati, pronti a prestarsi alle più svariate esigenze dei suoi avventori: studenti, cittadini, professionisti di passaggio per qualche ora che hanno bisogno di un punto di appoggio o di partecipare a una conference call. La parola chiave del progetto, realizzato dallo studio Ninetynine, è “condivisione”: degli spazi, delle esperienze, delle idee. L’atmosfera energizzante e briosa di “Casa” – così i locali abbreviano il nome dell’hotel – promuove interazioni e scambi che possono avvenire al bar come nelle tante piccole aree popolate da divani e poltrone. JUST OUTSIDE THE HISTORIC CITY CENTRE OF THE CAPITAL OF THE NETHERLANDS, the new headquarters of Hotel Casa Amsterdam (born in 1957 to address the shortage of student housing) has opened its doors. Once through the door, the hotel presents itself as a riot of heterogeneous, modern and colourful environments, ready to lend themselves to the highly varied needs of its customers: students, citizens, professionals passing through for a few hours who need a base or a place to take part in a conference call. The keyword for the project, created by the firm Ninetynine, is “share”: spaces, experiences, ideas. The energising and lively feel of “Casa” – which is what locals call it – fosters interactions and exchanges that can happen at the bar or in the many little seating areas populated with sofas and armchairs.
